SCAPA is a NO-kill, NO-cage animal shelter serving the Bay St. George area of Western Newfoundland. SCAPA survives solely on the support of the community and it's volunteers.
All of these factors are *exactly* the same for animals living in factory farms to be used as meat. Seriously, every single aspect is the same and there's even dozens more for factory meat farms - although both are evil and using an animal for its meat OR fur are equally as inhumane and cruel. So, my question is, does the No Kill shelter also support no kill of ANY animal? Whether it be a pig (which is smarter than most dog breeds) or a kitten? And whether it be for a fur coat or a hamburger or because there aren't enough cages at a shelter? I do not intend to come off as arrogant, I'm actually seriously curious as to how the shelter treats this issue and as a vegan I can't grasp the logic of people who recognize the inhumanity of killing a dog because it's "unadoptable" or a fox in order to make a coat...but not a pig in order to make pork chops - especially when both of the latter are done in the same cruel fashion in regards to the earth, the animal, and human beings and both are no longer vital to human survival.
